Lafayette Chamber Singers 50th Anniversary Concert Season and Grand Finale

Since our founding in 1972, the Lafayette Chamber Singers have provided top-notch performances of choral music from around the world and across many centuries, under the direction of Dr. Clayton Lein. Dr. Lein's final season featured two concerts, presented free of charge for all audience members.

Pastyme With Good Companye featured music from as early as the thirteenth century through the seventeenth century.  It included music by monks from cathedrals throughout Europe and England, and music from the Renaissance by Orlando Di Lasso, Jacob Handl, Clement Jannequin, King Henry VIII, Ludwig Senfl, Claudio Monteverdi, and many more. This performance was presented on December 9, 2023.

A Royal Garland presented choral works from the last four centuries, especially featuring catches from the eighteenth century and works by Samuel Barber, William Billings, Aaron Copland, Edvard Grieg, Libby Larsen, Morten Lauridsen, Robert Pearsall, Francis Poulenc, Michael Tippett, and many more. The Chamber Singers' final performance was held on May 12, 2024.
